What's a nice chess variant to play for children? Well you decide! There are hundreds if not thousands!
If you like to play chess variants with your children but you don't have the special pieces than don't look further. You can play KhanChess. A Chess variant that is playable on both 10x10 or 8x8 board. I myself prefer 10x10.
I think children will find it quite interesting to play KhanChess. To become a mighty Khan. The four different variants have lots of fun in them. There's even a Stratego variant. My personal favorite is the Yasak.
The four variants differ a lot from each other and that makes KhanChess to be played again and again and again. The King's Landing is one of the most exciting moments in these variants. I think children will love this element.
Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere!
Due to the fact that you can choose your own start positions for your pieces your children are going to love it. Lots of possibilities.
You don't need to buy anything extra. Only some cheap hairbands to distinguish some pawns. So start playing!
